Record High Real Estate In Harlem

According to the latest statistics of recent real estate sales in Harlem & in particular Hamilton Heights, it appears that a recent Town House sale above 110th Street had broken the previous record. A recent deed filed with the city states a five story town house which is 20 feet wide with 8 bedrooms and five bathrooms sold for $3.89 Million in the area breaking the previous top sale by $1.3 Million in upper  Manhattan. The owner had bought the house in 1993 for  $292,500 in 1993. Also, the apartment rentals in Harlem from W 125th St to W 155th St has skyrocketed in the past two years. A typical average one bedroom in 2005, was about $950. Currently in 2007, they go for at least $1100 - $1150.  The two bedroom average in 2005 was $1100 - $1200.  Now, for an average two bed in the same area and quality is $1500 - $1600.
